The Shizouka Hobby Show recently concluded. Unlike previous shows,
new releases have been limited. Futaba
did showcase the new Field Force 9, replacing the outgoing Field Force
8. This new radio incorporates a 'Jog Dial' for programming ease.

has been formed. It will be the one flown at the forthcoming World
Air Games to take place in 2005, probably in Slovenia. Find out more

to glory at the recent F3A Tournoi de Champagne. He flew to a perfect
score, ahead of Quique
Somenzini
and Roland Matt. Perfect start for a new plane! Synergy is
manufactured by ZN

Merle
Hyde
has developed a new range of Engine Mounts for Pattern Planes. They
are very light weight, and uses Aluminum Beams, rather than the conventional
regular glass filled nylon beams. With ZN
Line
and PL Prod,
all producing pattern soft mounts, competition is stiff. Find out

OS have developed a new Max-160 FX-FI. Developed after the 140RX-FI,
the 160 FX-FI will apparently make use of a simpler Engine Control
Unit.(ECU). Based on the 160 FX, the price increase from the standard
version will be less than the price increase for the 140RX-FI. The
engine weighs in at 925g. Presently, it is undergoing testing, and
was in the hands of Futaba/OS F3A pilot, Kouji Suzuki, it is expected
be on sale around Septemberi. The OS FS 91S-FI is also expected to
go on sale around September. Both engines will be available at Singapore
Hobby Supplies.
