The South African team comprised of individual entry, young Christopher Harris. Father, Dave Harris, was his caller and team-manager. Though he was the youngest competitor, and from the furthest away, Christopher did well to finish 21st.

Initially, the O.S. on Christopher's aircraft was not running smoothly. However, Mr. Ueda was on hand to solve the problems. In no time, the engine was as good as new. Both planes, the Tachiro and Caprise, were sold in Singapore.
