The Japanese team comprised of Kouji Suzuki, Hirokai Nahata and Hiroki Koyano and 2-time World Champion, Giichi Naruke, as team manager. The team were backed by Futaba/O.S., and the planes showcased the latest of their products. It came to no surprise that they dominated the proceedings. Kouji Suzuki and Japan were winners in the individual and team championships respectively.

With all 3 pilots finishing within the Finals, the Japanese team easily won the team event. With Koyano finishing closely to Suzuki, he could be the flyer to look out for at futture international events.
