The Chinese team comprised of Tan Yebin, Liu Weiguo and Duan Zhiyong. With 2 flyers, Tan Yebin and Li Weiguo, making it to the Semi-Finals, China clinched 3rd overall in team placings. Li Weiguo clinched 12th place only on the 4th day, displacing Singapore's Stanley Chan and Thailand's Chaiphat Tubthong of that last Semi-Final berth. Despite flying an old aircraft(Sliver Dragon), Tan Yebin showed that the pilot is still the most important, by finishing 9th after the Preliminaries and 11th overall.

A low point was their failure to contest in the Semi-Finals, apparently due to no practice with the F-01 schedule.
