Futaba showcased the new Field Force 9, replacing the outgoing Field Force 8, at the 2001 Shizouka Hobby Show. The FF9 is a completely new design, and incorporates a 'Jog Dial' for programming ease. The FF9 is now available. Please Philippe Cambier for more details.

Field Force 9Features:

  • Ergonomic design with the CG of the transmitter on the palm of the controller's hands;
  • 9 channels with slide control on the side of the transmitter;
  • User programmable switch function;
  • "Jog Dial" type control switch for ease of programming;
  • Two "High Contrast" LEDs to show power and transmission;
  • High grip feeling control stick;
  • Softer timbal feel than FF8;
  • High capacity receiver Ni-Cd pack *Depend on package);
  • Large digital display;
  • Optional CAMPAC modules to expand memory;
  • DSC "Buddy Box" function;
  • Lighter materials is used to reduce overall weight of the transmitter.

Software functions of interest:

  • Airplane mode or helicopter mode switchable, independent on each memory location;
  • Main display shows digital trims position, battery voltage, model memory in use, and three separate timers;
  • 8 model memories (Expandable with CAMPAC);
  • PCM/PPM (FM) switchable;
  • 5 flight modes for each memory
  • ATV, D/R and EXP;
  • Fail safe and battery fail safe;
